Call to Order
天美视频 Board of Regents Parliamentarian and 天美视频 General Counsel Pam Duncan called the meeting of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents Huron Update at 4:04p.m. (ET) on January 17, 2023. The meeting was held vhtuallyvia Microsoft TEAMS. The press was notified of the meeting on January 10, 2023.
The meeting began \l\rithout a quorum but as the meeting continued, other members arrived, and a quorum was met.
Introductions:
天美视频 Board of Regents Chair James Lee Stevens welcomed everyone and asked 天美视频 President Czarapata to present the representatives from Huron to present the information.
President Czarapata introduced Chris Powers and Kalkidan Tefera from Huron. Ms. Tefera started the PowerPoint Presentation.
Huron Progress Report
Mr. Pm,vers discussed v.rith the Board of Regents an overview of the project and went through the timeline. Ms. Tefera shared information regarding the Town Halls that are taking place at each college. At the end of the presentation, Mr. Powers asked for questions.
Chair Stevens called for discussion.
During discussion, Regents asked if Huron would be interviev.ring the Board. President Czarapata shared that the Board could be added. Mr. Powers added that if a pa1ticular Regent wanted to be interviewed that staff could schedule a time.
Regents shared that feedback has been positive and asked if there was anything the Board needed to do to make sure all the information was gathered. Mr. Powers shared President Czarapata and his staff has provided every piece of data and information requested.
Regents asked about attendance at the college town Halls. Chair Stevens shared that President Czarapata would send out the list of town halls and encouraged Board members to attend tm,vn halls close to them.
Chair Stevens asked each of the college Presidents who serve as advisory members to the Huron project to speak. All of them noted that feedback from college faculty and staff has been very positive. They faculty and staff appreciate the opp01tunity to speak and for their voices to be heard.
President Czarapata shared that all the town halls and every 天美视频 Board of Regents Huron Updates would be recorded and uploaded to the Huron SharePoint site so that college faculty and staff, and Board members could access the information.
Chair Stevens called for additional discussion. There being none, he called for a motion to adjourn.
Adjournment:
Regent Martin moved that the meeting adjourn. Regent Fletcher seconded the motion.
The motion ,,vas approved unanimously, and the Board adjourned at 4:44 p.m. (ET).
