Call to Order:
ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ Board of Regents Chair and Stevens called to order the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents President Selection Committee meeting at 4:02 p.m. (ET) on July 27, 2023. This is a special virtual meeting of this committee.
The press was notified of this meeting on July 21, 2023. Hon. Pam Duncan, ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ General Counsel, served as parliamentarian.
There being a quorum present, the meeting began.
Committee Co-Chair Stevens asked the Committee Co-Chair Whitten to introduce the new Advisory Member to the Committee, CPE President Dr. Aaron Thompson. She noted that two members were removed from the Committee after their terms expired on the Board.
Approval of Minutes:
Chair Stevens asked if there were any corrections to the June 1, 2023, Regular Meeting Minutes. There being none, the minutes were declared approved as presented.
ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ Presidential Search Timeline:
Committee Co-Chair Stevens turned the meeting over to ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ Chief of Staff, Board and Government Liaison, Hannah Rivera. She went through the timeline with the Committee. After reviewing the timeline, Committee Co-Chair Stevens called for discussion.
During discussion, Committee Members asked if the September Quarterly Board of Regents Meeting could be moved to October to allow an earlier interview session. Ms. Rivera noted that could be considered, but the AGB Consultants have developed the timeline in conjunction with the Search and it would be difficult to rearrange.
ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ Presidential Search Update
Ms. Rivera turned the meeting over to AGB Consultant Dr. Fitzgerald. Dr. Fitzgerald went through a brief Search Update with the Committee. She noted that by August 14, 2023, all applicants will have their individual folder uploaded for each Committee Member to review.
Dr. Fitzgerald stressed that extreme confidentiality while reviewing candidates. She also noted that each Committee Member would have a checklist for every candidate to fill out upon reviewing.
Dr. Fitzgerald asked the Committee Members to develop individual questions to ask each candidate, semi-finalist, and finalist. She also noted that the Committee should ask the candidates is there anything they would like to ask the Committee.
Dr. Fitzgerald called for discussion. During discussion, Ms. Rivera noted that the Committee must remain flexible while this Search is conducted.
Committee Co-Chair Stevens called for additional discussion.
Parliamentarian Duncan shared that every Committee Member must sign a confidentiality agreement and complete some online training. The online training sessions would be available to the Committee at the beginning of August.
Committee Co-Chair Stevens called for additional discussion, hearing none, he moved to the next item on the agenda.

Ms. Rivera shared the next meeting would be August 23, 2023.
Committee Co-Chair Stevens called for any additional discussion. Hearing none, he called for a motion to adjourn.

Regent Heerdink moved, and Committee Co-Chair Whitten seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
Chair Stevens called for the vote.
The motion was approved unanimously by those Regents present, and the meeting adjourned at 4:27 p.m. (ET)
