Board Meetings

    I. CALL TO ORDER

    Chair Martin called the System Policy and Planning Committee meeting to order on May 16, 2024 at 3:32 p.m. EST. The roll was called, and a quorum was established.

    II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

    Regent Greene made a motion to approve the April 17, 2024 System Policy & Planning Committee Meeting minutes. Regent Whitten seconded the motion. The motion passed by consensus.

    III. REVIEW OF THE JUNE 13-14, 2024 BOARD MEETING AGENDA

    Board Liaison Shannon Rickett reviewed the June 13-14, 2024 Board Meeting Agenda.

    Dr. Quarles clarified that the cost of living proposal has not changed since the March Board Meeting. College Presidents have been asked to plan in their budgets for an up to 3% cost of living adjustment, and a recommendation will be presented to the Board in June.

    IV. NEW BUSINESS

    There will be a special called Board of Regents Meeting on May 30, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST. This meeting will be to discuss Senate Joint Resolution 179.

    V. ADJOURNMENT

    Regent Whitten made a motion to adjourn. Regent Greene seconded the motion. The motion passed by consensus. The meeting adjourned at 3:52 p.m. EST.
