St. Andrews Bay Hotel: The Devlin Golf Course is a very challenging course designed by Gene Sarazen
and Bruce Devlin which opened in August 2002.
The course stretches over Kittock's Den and along the sweeping coastline. It is a different
style to the Torrance course as it is designed for golf carts rather than walking. The sea
is more in play, rather than just a part of the scenery, as is the case on most of the
Torrance course's holes. The most memorable visual moments come on the closing holes.
The 17th green is well protected by pot bunkers, but surviving those challenges will land golfers
on the putting surface and earn them a view of the water and skyline from the cliff-edge
green, which has been compared to the likes of Pebble Beach and other American sea-side courses.
